My Mother Said I Never Should is a bittersweet story about love, jealousy and freedom. As we journey back and forth through the lives of four women, we discover how the relationship between mothers and daughters changes yet stays the same. In 2000 The National Theatre named My Mother Said I Never Should as one of the Hundred Significant Plays of the Twentieth Century.
