| Like many London Fringe venues, the Gatehouse relies on the box office, theatre rental and private funding to keep the theatre open. We receive no financial assistance from the Arts Council, the GLA or any other public body. Many people express a desire to contribute financially and for this reason Ovation Theatres, the company behind Upstairs at the Gatehouse, now run a Friends scheme called “Gatehouse Angels” This is similar to many schemes run by other small theatres all over the country. All the funds collected from the Friends Scheme are used to improve the technical facilities and the comfort of our customers. Costs: Individual Angel £35 per annum Two Angels Together £60 per annum Membership runs from 1st June to 31st May each year. |
